Policies Bed Kings & Home Furnishings L.L.C. Terms of
Service FREE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY All new products sold by Bed Kings & Home Furnishings, except display models and clearance items, will come with Free Manufacturer Warranty. This warranty type and period varies from a 30 day limited warranty for brand new furniture to a 10 or 15 year non pro rated warranty for a brand new mattress. In either case Bed Kings will act as the liason between the customer and the manufacturer or distributor. To clarify, manufacturer warranties essentially ensures that the customer is receiving brand new furniture in brand new condition. If there is a problem with you furniture or mattress Bed Kings must inform the manufacturer or distributor of your furniture problem within the alloted time period, however, in the vast majority of cases customers will find such a problem within minutes of receiving their furniture. Please note that Manufacturer Warranties do not cover in any way shape or form damages or imperfections induce by the customer.
At this time Bed Kings does not offer warranties for furniture beyond the Free Manufacturer Warranty, however, Bed Kings has been fortunate to work with some of the most respectable furniture makers in the industry. These manufacturers and distributors have created new rules and bent old ones to allow reasonable exceptions on Free Manufacturer Warranties.
The manufacturers and distributors provide Bed
Kings with pictures and measurements for the public to use as references for
their personal spaces. Please keep in mind that these pictures and measurements
are general guides to give the customer a good idea of what to expect upon
delivery. The exact shade and fit of the final products may vary slightly to the
initial images and measurements. There is no explicit guarantee on small
discrepancies, but significant discrepancies (clearly manufacturer errors) would
be covered by the manufacturer warranty. SHIPPING OUTSIDE ILLINOIS Furniture may be shipped outside the state of Illinois or outside the United States if the customer asks us to make those arrangements. The buyer would be responsible for shipping costs to and from their location which will vary depending on factors such as size and weight. SHIPPING DAMAGE Bed Kings will guarantee that all shipped goods will arrive to the courier in brand new condition. Bed Kings encourages customers to consider purchasing insurance for your products if they will be shipped via a third party courier as Bed Kings will not be held liable for damages, dents, or scratches in your shipped products.
DELIVERY RATES Delivery rates vary depending on several factors
including, but not limited to location, size of furniture, weight of furniture,
purchase amount, and type of delivery or assembly services provided. Delivery
rates are subject to change and are non refundable. BAD CHECKS Bad checks may be accessed, to the manager's discretion, a $50 fee if in the amount of $500 or less. Customers writing checks over $500 may be accessed a 10% fee for insufficient funds. The customer assumes responsibility for any and all subsequent fees or events which may ensue from a bounced check including, but not limited to, a canceled or delayed delivery. Bed Kings & Home Furnishings is not to be held liable for any such fees or events that result from a customers bounced check. DELIVERY DEPARTURE CALL A Bed Kings employee will make a Delivery Departure Call before heading towards your location to execute the delivery. If no one answers, Bed Kings will place a second and possibly third call to the customer. If the customer can still not be reached then Bed Kings reserves the right to postpone the delivery. If Bed Kings has to reschedule the delivery due to customer's absence or by customer request then the customer may incur a second delivery fee. MISSED DELIVERY FEE The Missed Delivery Fee must be paid in full prior to a second delivery attempt. Bed Kings reserves the right to hold the customer's furniture for a period of three days. Note; this only applies to deliveries made by Bed Kings employees (s) and not items shipped via courier.
Bed Kings & Home Furnishings lives,
breathes, and sweats furniture deliveries anywhere from 7am to 11pm seven days a
week. We have executed thousands of deliveries to all Chicago neighborhoods,
suburbs, and even to the states of Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin. You can
rest assured that we take great pride in delivering to our valued customers
safely and efficiently each and every single time. However, customers should be
aware that Bed Kings cannot and will not be held liable for damages in any way,
shape, or form to personal or private property (including personal injury)
during the delivery of products, pick up of products, or at any other time. If
the customer is not comfortable with this policy he or she is more than welcome
to pick up the merchandise or arrange for a third party to pick up the
merchandise. Please read Customer Product Pick Up for more information on this
topic. FEE NON PAYMENT All fees owed to Bed Kings must be paid in full before delivery is executed. If the customer does not pay said fee within 5 business days then the customer relinquishes all interest to said furniture and surrenders any monies paid towards that purchase to Bed Kings & Home Furnishings L.L.C.. CUSTOMER PRODUCT PICK UP Customers are welcome to pick up their purchases
from the Bed Kings store conveniently located four blocks west of the 90/94
expressway Canalport (north bond) exit or 18th St. (south bound) exit There is
no additional charge for picking up furniture from the store location and
occasionally we may be able to offer a more convenient pick-up point for
purchased furniture. If you intend to stop by the store to pick-up your
furniture the customer must call ahead to ensure that it has been pulled from
the warehouse and kept in the store prior to your visit. If merchandise is not
picked up within 5 business days of initial pick up time the customer will
relinquish all interest to said furniture and surrenders any monies paid towards
that purchase to Bed Kings & Home Furnishings L.L.C.. FURNITURE DOES NOT FIT If the event should arise that your brand new furniture does not fit in your space, the acting manager may discuss returning those products for something else from Bed Kings that may indeed fit your space. Such a transaction is to the sole discretion of the acting Bed Kings manager and may be subject to a restocking fee between 25% - 50% and further delivery charges. It is ultimately the customer's responsibility to accurately measure their space and doorways before purchase. Bed Kings reserves the right to refuse a return based on item(s) not fitting into a customer's desired space. RETURNS & VOIDED SALES After receiving or picking up their product(s) customers have two weeks to notify Bed Kings & Home Furnishings L.L.C. if they want to make a return of their recent purchase. If Bed Kings is not notified within that two week period the items of that purchase are not eligible for return. A 30% Return Fee or Voided Sale Fee will be charged to customers who return new items bought from Bed Kings or prematurely cancel a sale partially paid or paid in full. The remaining 70% will go towards Bed Kings store credit. All service charges including delivery and assembly are not refundable. All products eligible for return must be blemish free. Items without the original wrapping and/or box will under no circumstances be accepted as returnable goods. It is the customer's responsibility to return said product(s) to the Bed Kings store at 1140 W. 18th st. Chicago IL 60608 within four weeks of the purchase date regardless of when delivery or pick-up is scheduled or takes place. Bed Kings may be able to pick-up eligible returns at a fee in accord with the Bed Kings delivery rates (link coming soon). LAY-A-WAY PROGRAM Bed Kings & Home Furnishings offers an
exceptionally flexible and affordable Lay-A-Way Program. Customers may put down
as little as 10% or $50, whichever is greater, on any size purchase. At the time
of the down payment the customer should make arrangements with Bed Kings to pay
off the remaining balance in agreed upon increments or one more lump sum. Items
eligible for this Lay-A-Way program are brand new products stored in the
manufacturer or distributor warehouses. The term of a Lay-A-Way is not to exceed
six months. At the end of the six month period Bed Kings may call the customer
to close the outstanding balance. If the balance is not paid in full within 5
business days of the 6 month term the customer may lose any and all interest in
the furniture including the deposit and all subsequent payments towards the
purchase. This decision is left to the sole discretion of the Bed Kings
management. LAY-A-WAY REFUNDS Down payments on lay-a-ways and similar purchases may be refunded if the product is no longer available from the manufacturer. If products are available and the customer still wants to cancel the purchase there will be absolutely no refund made from Bed Kings in the form of store credit, company check, cash or any other form of reimbursement.
Your brand new furniture should come neatly packaged or wrapped to protect the
pieces from damage during transport. Most non sofa pieces will be thoroughly
taped in several pieces of custom foam and corner protectors, then placed in a
clearly labeled cardboard box made just for that item. Sofa pieces often come
completely wrapped in a thick protective plastic and occasionally other
materials. For the cast majority of our products little to no assembly is
required whatsoever, however dinettes and entertainment center do often require
assembly of chairs and tables. Bedroom sets and living room sets come mostly
assembled with only legs or knobs to be manually twisted into place. For a more

ASSEMBLY SERVICE If you would like Bed Kings to assemble the furniture for you that service can be provided for an hourly rate of $25/hr per laborer or at a flat fee to be determined by the acting manager at the point of sale. When a customer opts for Bed Kings Assembly Service our experienced delivery drivers will carefully and diligently assemble your products with pride. Furthermore, customers who opt for assembly will also receive Free Packaging Removal Service . Furniture assembly prior to delivery is available but discouraged in some cases where the protective packaging should be kept in tact for a clean delivery. Bed kings recommends the assembly take place after the delivery of the products to protect the furniture during the delivery process. If a customer opts for furniture assembly prior to delivery, Bed Kings will not be held liable for moving damages incurred during the transport of said pre-assembled furniture. Assembly rates are subject to change and are non refundable. ALL PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
